学生就业 Types

校园工作

学生 can find part-time-hourly employment working for campus departments. On campus jobs are paid in one of two ways:

勤工助学工作
Some departments require student employees to have work-study funding as part of their financial aid offer. 勤工助学基金 may be Federal, state or university funds (MAVworks).

Priority funding is awarded to returning work-study students.

To be considered for work-study funds, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). New students may apply for work-study funding thorough the MAvworks application.

Check job postings in Handshake to see if a job requires work-study funding or not.

学生辅助工作
Some departments have the ability to hire student employees directly through the department's budget.

It is not necessary for the student to complete the FAFSA or be awarded work-study/MAVworks for these jobs.

校外工作

While we love having students work on campus, students may pursue employment opportunities with surrounding local businesses. These jobs do not require the completion of the FAFSA or work-study funding.
